Overview

Double Fault (“we,” “us”) helps tennis players find partners and organize sessions. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work, and we never sell your personal information.

Information we collect

  • Account: your name, email, and (optionally) mobile phone number.
  • Profile: playing details you choose to add — USTA/UTR rating, playing style, game format, and gender preferences.
  • Location: an approximate location, only if you provide it, to surface nearby players and courts. It is never shown publicly.
  • Activity: the sessions you create, join, and complete, plus the reliability and results data that follows from them.

How we use it

We use your information to run the service: to match you with players, show sessions and courts, send notifications you’ve enabled, and calculate your reliability score. We do not use it for third-party advertising.

Text messages

If you turn on text alerts, we use your mobile number only to send the session notifications you opted into. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing. Full details, including how to opt in and out, are in our SMS Terms & Consent.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app — authentication (Firebase), text-message delivery (Twilio), and cloud hosting — and only as needed to provide the service. Other players see the profile details you choose to make visible (such as your name, rating, and reliability). We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

You can edit or remove your profile details, phone number, and location at any time in your account. You can turn text alerts off with the profile toggle or by replying STOP to any text. To access or delete your account, email us at the address below.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

Children

Double Fault is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
